For some reason, my first dream car was a Honda Civic. Because I was like 5 and didn't know any better. As far as I was concerned, all cars were the same and they just looked different, and the Civic was the coolest of the ones I knew by name. Which was probably about three or four. I'm not sure what helped me REALLY get into cars, but I do know that that was my very first favorite.

Perfectly good reason. Any generation in particular? I especially worshiped one C5Z that was always parked near my friend's house.

It's a tie between many cars. Skyline R34, Rover Mini, Corvette C5, Dodge Viper, Toyota Supra... the list goes on..

That's pretty funny, but cool all the same. It was probably an Accord for me—I remember steering it around the parking lot near my preschool while my dad took care of the clutch and gas pedals. I always took special care in polishing off the Honda logo when washing it... ha

It started with a 1972 Matchbox Maserati Bora. Mine (I still have it) isn't in as good of condition as this photo...

Then in college I drove my friends BMW 325es. Not the best E30, but I got completely addicted to that chassis. That experience showed me what a car could be. Currently driving an E36 M3 convertible. But it started with that 325...

My Dad had one around the time I was born (1973).
Technically it was my first ride.
He sold it in 1976 to buy an LTD sedan.

One of the Supra's predecessors was the Murcielago. It's definitely a drop dead gorgeous car, and being the last big Lambo with a manual transmission makes all the more special. I would take an LP640 over an Aventador any day.

Putting aside crazy supercars and such...

When I was really little, Mk2 Supra because my dad had one, Porsche 928 because my dad almost bought one from a coworker. Neighbors had a Z31 300ZX, Porsche 911 and 944.

When I was a bit older but still couldn't drive, it was all the early-mid 90s Japanese performance cars. In order of my worship at the time: Acura NSX, FD RX-7, Mk4 Supra, Z32 300ZX TT, 3000GT VR4, MR2 Turbo. Also appreciated the Eclipse GSX, Prelude, and Integra.

First car I bought with my own money was a '92 Integra GSR in 2001. I had kinda wanted to buy a CRX and do a GSR swap in it, but the reality of a project car wasn't nearly as appealing as the concept of one. I couldn't quite afford a DC2 GSR but the DA GSR with the B17A was kinda rare and cool and fit my budget.

The Viper was an early obsession of mine as well. All I knew was "8.4L V10," which I thought was a typo at first.

The Ferrari 458 and my dad's Z3 which he bought in early 2010. Yeah, I'm a relatively young enthusiast.

And NASCAR when I was very young. But my dad quit watching it as much when Nextel bought out the series, and therefore so did I.

Well the first two cars I remember learning were the '65 GTO and '57 Bel Air. At that point, every old car I saw was one or the other in my mind. I even remember my first Hot Wheels, a '63 (I think) Impala, which I of course thought, was in fact a GTO. Those pretty much opened up my world to cars, and my tastes changed throughout the years, with my favorites being everything from VW Beetles (I watched the original Herbie movie A LOT) to R34 Skylines, Testarossas, GNXs, all the way up to my current unhealthy obsessions, the e30 M3 and Alfa Giulia sedan.

It is pretty "understated" design for Lamborghinis, but I think it will age much better than the Diablo and Aventador. I can see this becoming a classic one day just because it was the end of the line for the excellent V12 and the fact it had a manual. Not to mention it will probably be the last Lamborghini to have a steel tubular space frame, something they have done since the Countach. Also, dat sound

Tough call. As a kid I was into whatever my parents had, which meant a lot of my grade school notebooks were filled with sketches of Camrys and Corollas. The moment that propelled me to the dark side was my uncle taking me out in my dad's 95 Maxima- black on black 5 speed- and absolutely THRASHING it. I still remember how scared I was. I was about 12 years old and had NO IDEA CARS COULD DO THIS. That was also around the time Gran Turismo 1 came out, which opened me up to alternatives to what my parents were driving and pretty much sealed the deal.

Even at that phase, cars in GT had distinct characters. I liked the NSX, because it was an absolute handful compared to the GT-R and Supra, but gave me a real sense of achievement when I could get in a groove with it. I think that was also a kind of definining moment for me.

Probably the most influential car for me, I was able to buy one in 1993 and Mustangs have pretty much been my car of choice ever since. Not that I don't have my favorites ( 288 GTO, F40, GT2 RS and so on)

Driving around with my dad became a game of pointing these out, because they were (and still are) his dream car. Since then, I've always dreamed of owning an M car, especially an e46 M3. I've been a BMW guy ever since, and it really got going again once I inherited my dad's e46 323i manual sedan, which I love to drive.

I'll own one of these M3s someday.

the Viper(and the countach) was my poster car growing up. I was 7 when the rolled out the concept in 1992 and is still one of my favorite cars of all times. they are now becoming surprisingly affordable. there is a 1996 RT/10 in my area for sale with 9000 miles for $35000.

I need to focus on getting a house but maybe one day I will buy one.

my perfect one would be dark blue with tan interior
